Posted on July 21, 2015 by WKKW 1 Comment

The occasion of Prince George’s 2nd birthday offers an opportunity to be completely self-indulgent and take a look back at some of his best faces in the photos from the last two years.  But first, the new picture released by Kensington Palace in advance of George’s birthday. It is from the Mario Testino photo shoot following Charlotte’s christening, taken in the Sandringham Gardens.

Prince George Echoes Iconic Prince William Image at Princess Charlotte’s Christening

Posted on July 6, 2015 by WKKW 3 Comments

For today’s christening of Princess Charlotte both Cambridge children wore iconic styles.

At Sandringham, the Queen’s country estate, the day dawned rainy, with some very heavy downpours throughout the morning and afternoon. But the sun started to peek through the clouds shortly before Kate, William, George and Charlotte’s historic walk to St. Mary Magdalene Church.

Historic because this is the closest the general public has been to a senior royal’s christening in generations.

A Christening Preview & What George Wore for His Park Playdate with Kate (UPDATED)

Posted on July 3, 2015 by WKKW 1 Comment

As promised in our previous post, we have a look ahead at Sunday’s christening of Princess Charlotte. But first, a very quick review of what George wore on a recent mother-son playdate at Snettisham Park.

The story is in People Germany.  As noted in our What Kate Wore post,  I’m not comfortable using the photos. While the location is a public park, it looked like private mother-son time and somehow the pictures seem a bit intrusive. The two seem to be having a grand time, with George pushing child-sized tractors about the park.

At any rate, here’s the latest on what the young Prince was wearing. It appears he was in a Cath Kidston piece, the label’s Farmyard Gilet, or vest.  Cath Kidston tells us it *does* look similar to what George had on, but because the photo we sent them was somewhat blurry they want to look into the matter more and have their press people get back to us with more information Monday.

Prince George In Familiar Styles To See Uncle Harry Off & For Park Outing

Posted on June 30, 2015 by WKKW 1 Comment

We are back with a quick christening update, and a look at what Prince George wore on recent occasions.

First, the latest on Princess Charlotte’s christening, just days away now.  Kensington Palace announced today they will allow the public to watch the royal family as they arrive and leave St. Mary Magdalene Church this Sunday. The church is on the grounds of Sandringham, the Queen’s estate; it is also where Kate and William’s country home is located.

While the service itself will be private, the public is invited to take part in another way; more from Gordon Rayner’s story in today’s Telegraph:

The royal couple have asked for the paddock outside St Mary Magdalene Church, Sandringham, to be opened to the public so they can see the baby before and after her baptism.

The church itself will be open to invited guests only, but thousands of people are expected to turn out for a rare opportunity to see the fourth in line to the throne.

It will be the first time in living memory that the christening of such a senior member of the Royal family has involved the public in any way.

Below, a look at the crowds outside St. Mary’s this past Christmas.

This is the first time we will see the Cambridges as a family of four. We will have more on the christening before the end of the week.
