We are back with a post sooner than anticipated (and happily so!) because of the evening’s events at Kensington Palace, where George’s parents and his Uncle Harry were having company for dinner.

This evening the much-anticipated Annie Leibovitz photographs commemorating the Queen’s 90th birthday were released. In this image you see HM with her 5 great-grandchildren and 2 youngest grandchildren in the Green Drawing Room at Windsor Castle.

I was a little foggy on a name or two, so here is the official caption: The children are: James, Viscount Severn (left), 8, and Lady Louise (second left), 12, the children of The Earl and Countess of Wessex; Mia Tindall (holding The Queen’s handbag), the two year-old-daughter of Zara and Mike Tindall; Savannah (third right), 5, and Isla Phillips (right), 3, daughters of The Queen’s eldest grandson Peter Phillips and his wife Autumn; Prince George (second right), 2, and in The Queen’s arms and in the tradition of Royal portraiture, the youngest great-grandchild, Princess Charlotte (11 months), children of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
As the Queen’s 90th birthday approaches (it is Thursday, the 21st) we are starting to see some photos taken related to the occasion.
