A third photo was released today (Sunday) showing Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis with their father.
Two wonderful new photos of the Cambridge children and their father were released this evening.
In the first, the children are rolling around with Prince William, and they are all on a swing in the second picture. The images were taken by the Duchess of Cambridge earlier this month at the family’s country home, Amner Hall. They celebrate the Duke’s 38th birthday and Father’s Day, both of which are tomorrow.
In the new photos, you can see how much Prince Louis resembles his older brother; it seems like he has grown quite a bit since his birthday photos.
Some readers will recognize the swing. Prince George was photographed on it in two of his official third birthday photos.
The swing was a gift from Prince Charles, made in the UK by The Oak and Rope Company. More from The Telegraph’s story: “The Prince of Wales was thought to have been so taken with the hand-carved swings that he bought additional ones for each child the Cambridges had. Each is also engraved with the names of each child.”
Now for a quick look at what the children were wearing in the new pictures, starting with Prince George. He is in a khaki or olive green polo shirt that is probably going to be unidentified because we just don’t see enough of it to say it is by a specific brand. UPDATE July 21: With thanks to Freddy for the suggestion in a comment, Prince George appears to be wearing the Brothers and Sisters Polo Shirt ($9.99) from Mango seen in a photo released for his seventh birthday.
Charlotte was in the Girls’ Embroidered Dungaree Shorts (now sold out) from John Lewis. They are 100% cotton with adjustable straps and pockets. The most distinct design element is the embroidered embellishment of a pink flamingo, zebra, and flowers. Thank you to UFO No More for the quick ID on this!
It looked like she was also wearing her Hampton Canvas Plum Shoes ($36) in the Rosa colorway. I haven’t looked for her striped tee; it is likely to be unidentified because we just don’t see much of it. UPDATE: Here is a suggestion from Kit Fletcher via Twitter that actually looks very good: the Short-Sleeve Pointelle Top ($12.60) from a brand Kate likes, Boden. The piece is 100% cotton in a colorway called College Blue/Ivory.
Kit pointed out in her Tweet the scalloped detail at the sleeve hem and the neckline, the same detail Charlotte’s top has. I was able to see a hi-res photo tonight and think this could well be the top.
Prince Louis appeared to be wearing a Gap shirt similar to this one. It is not identical; the one the Prince is wearing has three buttons, and this has two.
The top is 100% cotton in a piqué knit, short sleeves, and three buttons. With thanks to Rachel on the WKKW Facebook page for the tip, it is from the label’s Brennan Bear line, identifiable by the cute little bear logo on merchandise.
Prince Louis was wearing what looks like the Trotters Hampton Canvas Nantucket Shoes ($28) first worn by his big brother, Prince George.
The shoes have an organic cotton upper and natural rubber sole and are Green Trade World certified. Here you see George wearing them almost four years ago when going to an air show with his parents.
Louis was also wearing a pair of denim shorts that are unidentifiable. UPDATE #1 Sunday, June 21: With the new photo released today I think we may be able to ID the shorts worn by Prince Louis and possible Prince George’s as well. I am headed out to keep a personal commitment but will look for them when I get back late this afternoon.
UPDATE #2 Aug 20: Caitlyn makes a great suggestion in a comment: she points out Louis looks like he could be wearing the same shorts George was wearing in July 2015 when Carole Middleton took him to Norfolk Beach. I did a post on that outing (there are no photos of Prince George in the post). Photos of that outing are available at PopSugar. I think Caitlyn could well be correct. As she points out, the back pockets and buttons match.
Hello,
On thé beach i d’ont know but i’m sure this IS when je was on his grand’ma shoulders with blue short ans green pull-over.
Could Louis’s shorts be hand-me-downs from George? They look very similar to the one’s George wore to Norfolk Beach with Carole Middleton in July 2015. The back pockets and buttons match. They may look slightly darker in the beach photos, but I believe that is because they are wet. https://www.popsugar.com/celebrity/Prince-George-Pictures-Beach-Carole-Middleton-37994399#photo-37994399
Wow, Caitlyn, you make a great point! Everything does match up, what a brilliant suggestion! When I’m home (I’m traveling) I will update the post with your insight. Thank you! ?
Love this site! Kate always dresses her children so smartly yet comfy and kid-like at the same time. They look like any ordinary child playing outside with Dad.
Such gorgeous photos, what a treat for Father’s Day. Kate has excelled herself with how natural makes her beloved family look, they clearly feel quite at home in front of her lens.
Louis looks as if he’s developing film-star looks and Charlotte’s legs are so long and she adopts quite the model pose here. I think Lady Amelia Windsor could find herself up against stiff competition on the catwalk in a few years!
I love Charlotte’s embroidered John Lewis dungarees and Breton top, and am happy to see that she is as comfy in those Hampton slip-ons as I myself am today. George is quite the sophisticate in olive polo shirt and long cargo shorts, while Louis is keeping up the Cambridge baby tradition of blue polo shirts and shorts, with classic T-bar canvas Trotter shoes. Thanks for all the brill IDs.
I think I’ve found Georges shorts. They appear to be these mini Boden ones. The waist band and back pockets match. I can’t find a decent photo though to compare side pocket button.

Those certainly look like George’s shorts! Thank you for sharing them, I will take a look when I get back to the desktop. ?
Hello again, Georgie’s Mum! I was finally able to look at the hi-res pic and the Boden shorts and I don’t think it’s a match. The pocket corners on George’s pair look straight and on the Boden pair they are slightly rounded. Drat. I really thought you had them. But they are an outstanding repli-George, to be sure. Thank you again! 🙂
The only thing I regret about this wonderful photographs taken by Kate is that she can’t appear in them, too. It’s so fantastic to see the love and joy in this family!
Lovely photos. This must be the back of the swing. Looks to be engraved April 2011.
Super photos – and I got my wish that Catherine would take a photo for William’s birthday! Love how they are dressed for rolling around with Dad – and that Dad has dusty fingermarks on his chinos. Oh my, that little Louis! I don’t think I have ever seen a child who changes so much with every photo we see of him, even if the one before was a month or so earlier. Truly amazing and always such a strong character face, right from the beginning. He seems to be growing into his ‘Grandpa Middleton’ eyebrows.
It’s a shame those overalls are sold out, they’re adorable. I was under the impression that Charlotte was wearing this t shirt from Jojomamanbebe. If not, it would still be a good repli-Charlotte.

Thank you for the link, it is a good repli-Charlotte!? I think this is closer, a great suggestion by @kit_fletcher27 on Twitter: https://www.bodenusa.com/en-us/short-sleeved-pointelle-top-college-blue-ivory/sty-g0992-nav
