Princess Charlotte & Prince George attend the Queen’s Christmas Lunch

Posted on December 19, 2018 by WKKW

We are back with a very brief post about what Prince George and Princess Charlotte wore for today’s Christmas lunch.

Hosted by the Queen, the party is held at Buckingham Palace every year. Above, Prince George and his parents as the family arrive at the Palace. You can just see the side of Charlotte’s head in that image. Below, a better view of the children as they leave BP.

Here is another view as the family leaves, it shows both children. It does not show the children’s nanny, Maria Borrallo, but she was also on hand today.

The lack of photos showing Charlotte makes identification or speculation on what she wore pointless. But we can take a look at George’s shirt. Pauline  suggested on Twitter it could be by the Ralph shirt ($58.50) from royal favorite Amaia Kids. It is difficult to see with the lighting in the photo above, but the colors in George’s shirt do look like burgundy and navy. Our thanks to Pauline, as well as George on Facebook for their speedy ID work.

UPDATE: The company has confirmed the young Prince was wearing this shirt.

We take a glance back at what the Prince has worn previously: in 2015 George wore a white shirt with blue piping at the collar; in 2016 and again in 2017 (photo used in the montage is 2017), the Prince wore the ‘Redwink’ jacket from Amaia Kids; today we saw him in the Ralph shirt, also from Amaia Kids.

The Redwink jacket is still available, click here to go to the product listing on the Amaia Kids site.

Charlotte attended in 2016, but we do not have any usable photos of her, so we can only show her in 2017  and again this year.

It’s not known if we will see George or Charlotte on Christmas Day. If they are at Sandringham as expected, it is possible we will see Prince George join those attending services at the church of St. Mary Magdalene, located on the Sandringham estate.

Other royal children have started attending the service at age four or five, but some have waited a few years beyond that. We won’t know about this until Christmas morning.

Here is one more photo, you can almost see Prince George smiling in this final picture.

Hi, I just read that Charlotte is starting at Thomas’s School this year. Can you post about her uniform, as you did with George?

Hi, and thank you for commenting! I’ll definitely do a post like the one done with George, as soon as we have confirmation that is where Charlotte will be going. ?
