Once again George and Charlotte charmed a crowd in Canada, this time melting the hearts of hundreds gathered at Victoria Harbour.
The crowds were on hand to see the royals board a seaplane that would take them to the Royal Canadian Air Force jet flying them back to England.
If George was little reticent about waving at previous events, he more than made up for it today. The Prince was a vigorous, two-armed waving machine.

More from The Daily Mail:
George, three, dressed in his familiar shorts and long socks, couldn’t stop smiling and waving at the cheering well-wishers as he got out of the car, holding his father’s hand.
Princess Charlotte has clearly been working on her royal wave as well.
Kate accepting a beautiful bouquet of flowers.
After accepting a bouquet of flowers, Kate offered them to her daughter to smell, before putting her down for a walk while keeping a hold of her hand.
Another look at Charlotte as we talk about what she wore today.
She was in a classic little girl’s dress with a blue-gray print. The dress has a Peter Pan collar with coordinating piping, smocking at the bodice and a full skirt.
A closer look at those details as well as the fabric, it has a Liberty London feel to it.
UPDATE JAN 4, 2018: The Princess also wore a coordinating cardigan that looks like the M&H Burgundy Thick Knitstyle (€20, about $25). A big “thank you” to George for IDing the sweater and letting me know I forgot to cover the piece in the original post!
Charlotte’s shoes are another pair by Doña Carmen, the Mercedita Suela in ‘Granate.’
She was in a pair of white tights that may be the Condor for Amaia Kids Ribbed Knit Tights. Below, a white pair, as well as another color to better show the ribbed pattern. They look like they are the Condor, but it’s tough to tell without seeing the product stretched as it would be over a leg.
The Princess had on one of her signature hairbows from Amaia Kids. It appeared to be the red color, but because the light varies so much in different photos I thought showing the 3 colors would be helpful.
Another view of Charlotte and Kate as they were leaving Government House.
Another little video.

Now for George’s look this afternoon. The Prince was in a checked shirt that appears to be the Classic Checkered Shirt in blue from Pepa and Company.
It is a traditional cut in 100% cotton, with buttons down the front and a single button at the cuff (£40, about $52). While currently sold out, the retailer is taking pre-orders for sizes 2Y and 3Y, with a shipping date of October 25.
The Prince wore a classic crewneck sweater/jumper in navy blue.
UPDATE OCT 3: It appears we could have a match for George’s sweater, thanks once again to the amazing @bojanana. It is her detective work that lead to this graphic. She discovered the Basic Boys Sweater by Freestyle online at El Corte Ingles, Spain’s largest department store chain. We have made inquiries with the company, but they have not responded. Thank you @Bojanana!
UPDATE OCT 2:
Doña Carmen has gotten in touch and confirmed George was wearing their Pantaloon Tenesis shorts, in the ‘Granate’ color. They were purchased at the company’s store in Valladolid, Spain.
If you are fond of the style, Doña Carmen also has them in navy and in camel.
The Prince was in his Start-rite ‘John’ shoes (£55).
Prince William issued a statement thanking Canadians for their hospitality. More from The Express:
“We feel very lucky to have been able to introduce George and Charlotte to Canada. This country will play a big part in the lives of our children and we have created such happy memories for our family during this visit.
And then it was time to go.
A wave before boarding the seaplane.
A final wave.
And a look out the window from Prince George.
We’ll leave you with this little video, it’s from Thursday’s party.

We do not yet have any information on Charlotte’s sweater or dress, so there’s not yet a graphic of what she wore on Saturday. We do have the graphic showing what George wore when leaving Canada on Saturday, October 1st. Because we do not know if George was wearing socks from Amaia Kids or Papouelli.
Could Charlotte’s shoes be Natik @ Amaia in navy and red? They look awfully close.
Thank you for your suggestion about the shoes, they *are* very close in appearance to the Natik seen at Amaia Kids, you have a good eye! The distinction is that the sole on Charlotte’s shoes blends or matches the color of the shoe itself, while the Natik has a black sole and heel. It’s not all that obvious, but if you look at the closeup of Charlotte’s shoes in this post you can see the are maroon or burgundy in color, like the Doña Carmen shoes we mention in the post. It is much easier to see in the post about the children’s party: https://whatkateskidswore.com/2016/09/george-and-charlotte-are-cute-as-can-be-at-childrens-party/
Thank you again for commenting, it’s good to learn about the shoes at Aamai Kids. 🙂
I just discovered a lovely Italian kids brand and something struck me when I looked at one of their dresses it looks so much like the three UFO dress Charlotte has . It’s called cashmirino and here’s the link to the dress I’m talking about http://www.cashmirino.com/en/girl/dresses-skirts/abito-in-punto-smock.html
They actually have a boutique in Burlington arcade and if I remember correctly Kate does shopping there ! 8 did not find Charlottes dresses but they already have their winter collection and I am guessing hers are from the spring summer one
Thanks so much for sharing this! I’m racing out the door, but am eager to take a look when I am back online later today. 🙂
charlotte’s dress looks like dress “de melocoton” and the cardigan in granate too….
Thank you for the tip, I have been hunting for pieces by Mundo Melocoton, but not having any luck. I will keep searching. 🙂
This is such a delightful page, always a joy to come here. I have to confess though that the children’s outfits look so similar each time they come out that I could swear they were wearing the same clothes every time. I’m fascinated to see the differences between this check shirt of George’s and the previous one as I would never have known otherwise.
It makes me wonder that there must be someone on full time Royal alert to spot new items that will keep the children looking exactly the same each time. There are so many labels involved, it feels like lots more than Kate herself uses, though in her case of course I’ve had time to get used to more of the names.
I like the more grown-up touches for George, like those shoes, though again am amazed to learn this is a different pair of red shorts. And I’m equally surprised that this is a new navy jumper though of course your close-up shots make it more obvious.
I was interested in Charlotte’s socks last time and checking back realised that some of her appearances have been tights. However, even as small an item as her socks have been different on those occasions when she’s worn them. That feels like some big attention to detail to me!
I agree that Charlotte’s frock looks to be in a Liberty-style print but had thought it a bit monochrome for them, they usually have more colours, however subtle, though we hardly have the photos which would show that. I was then brought up short when the next Liberty hankie I chose to use — and yes, I do have such things — looked an almost identical print, although it has other neutral shades in as well.
Interesting that we think of Liberty when we see these prints, when in fact many of them were purloined wholesale from India from the days when the British first got there and discovered the amazing textile heritage. Strange that the essence of India should now stand for quintessential Englishness.
It’s fascinating that they both wear Spanish children’s clothes, given the number of British brands that would happily outfit them (of course, George has worn a number of British and American brands). I wonder if this is partly for privacy purposes. Nanny Maria or her mother ordering under their own names on Spanish sites probably would not raise any suspicions. By contrast, anything ordered by the Cambridges or Middletons in England would leak fairly quickly.
Thank you for the very informative post Susan.
The spanish site for George’s dark navy sweater on the last is asking me for personal info such as my passport. I’ve never been asked that before. Are we sure this is safe?
The company is a large multinational, very much a legitimate concern. But the request for passport info sounds odd, I wonder if it might not make sense to email customer service and ask about ordering procedures….?
Thanks for the reply Susan.
Good thinking I’ll email them. Already got the neck and neck shirt for my twins and it arrived; its great! Thanks for finding it for us.
Sounds like you got routed to a bogus site. I would do a new search or phone directory search and call them by phone.
Where is the dress from?
We don’t know yet, we’re still searching. 🙂
Love them in red!
I love that Kate “recycles” and re-wears pieces and I got a kick out of the fact that the family was color coordinated for each appearance, but I’m really surprised that Kate had George wear the same shorts for the children’s party and for the farewell just two days later. He wasn’t seen that much on the tour and you’d think that she’d make sure he’d have a new, fresh look for each appearance. I’m all for frugality, but I think this was too repetitive too close together.
Oh for heavens sake! They all looked lovely and more importantly are a loving and happy family. I cannot imagine how very tired they were after such a hectic schedule while visiting British Columbia.
Kate even took the time to bend down and collect a pair of gloves that a member of the awaiting audience had dropped.
NOTE: Admin edit
Thank you for all the amazing posts on wkw and wkkw. You do an incredible job and I can’t wait for your posts to come up.
Love both outfits. Charlotte does look wonderful in what i call a cranberry shade. Her coloring is such that while that shade works a pure red might not? I love smocked dresses and the shoes are darling. George looked wonderful and love elbow patch sweaters, could not tell what the patches were made from. Charlottes hair may end up being lighter, she has quite a bit more blond in it than I realized.
Charlotte looks good in red!
Lovely to see Charlotte in something other than pink or blue. Absolutely adorable.
I bet George loved going on the small plane since he seems to love anything that fly’s.
Cardigan looks like it might be M y H http://www.myhbaby.com/en/burgundy-think-knit-cardigan-winter-2016-myhbaby
Thanks Hayley! I looked at it earlier this evening and am still thinking the knit texture/thickness is different from Charlotte’s, but need to look at it again with fresh eyes in the morning. It is an ideal repli-Charlotte if it turns out not to be the m&h. Thank you for commenting! 🙂
sorry, Charllotte’s shoes are “merceditas”, not “mercitas”, I know other languages are difficult…?
