This morning Kensington Palace released a slew of Cambridge family photos.

The pictures were taken during a family vacation to the French Alps last week.

It was the first time the Cambridges have taken a vacation with all four family members together.

And the young Prince and Princess looked absolutely precious.

The pictures were taken by a photographer from the UK Press Association, John Stillwell.

Kensington Palace noted that this is the first time the children have been in snow, it must have been loads of fun for them, especially George.
Let’s take a look at what the young royals wore, beginning with Charlotte’s ‘ensemble.’ With thanks to Saran for alerting us on Facebook, Charlotte wore the Baby Wadded Snowusit by UK retailer John Lewis.
The suit is a cotton/poly/nylon blend with detachable mittens, a button-through front and cute set of ears atop the hood. It retails for £28, about $40. Saran recognized the piece because her little girl wore the same suit style back in 2012. It remains available in Charlotte’s off-white color in most sizes, and also comes in a blue and a dusky pink color.
It appears Charlotte was wearing a pair of Emu Australia Platinum Baby Booties in pink ($50). The color looks off a bit, but it could very well be the lighting. Below right we show it at Baby Steals in ‘orchid pink,’ which looks more like Charlotte’s than the plain pink seen below left.
Charlotte’s little knit hat has been a bit of a challenge.

UPDATED: It turns out Charlotte’s hat is by Scottish heritage brand Johnstons of Elgin. The soft pink cashmere hat is crafted in Scotland in a Fair Isle pattern, and offered online at $55.
There are also matching mittens ($49) available in this design. Both items also come in the company’s Skye Blue colorway.
It’s great to see Kate purchasing from a company that isn’t just headquartered in Scotland, but also manufactures in the country. It is a storied brand that dates all the way back to 1797.
Moving on to George’s look, Monique Jessen of People magazine reports George was wearing the Mountain Warehouse Cloud All in One Snowsuit in navy.
The snowsuit is waterproof and lined in fleece, with an elasticized waist, hood & ankles, as well as reinforced knees. It originally retailed at $119.99, it is now on sale for $39.99.
UPDATED March 12:
With thanks to Amy, who left a comment about the hat, we now know it is by British retailer Next.

Amy pointed us to eBay where the hat is up for auction, it is a past season piece. The auction photo (above) lets us better see the design with those cute penguins. Looking at this year’s boys hats at Next there’s not really anything similar. Thank you Amy for the tip! Below you see another little one wearing the hat, that is Lola.
Lola’s mother allowed us to share the Instagram photo of Lola looking just darling in her penguin hat, which she says is from 2014.
It turns out George’s boots are by Manbi, the Kids Boing Snow Boot, £22.
George wore a pair of Barts Boy’s Nylon Mitts, available in blue at Amazon UK, also offfered
Our thanks to Prince George Pieces for their fab detective work on several IDs: Charlotte’s hat, and the boots worn by George and Charlotte!
We leave you with a few more of today’s photographs, including this picture of William with his little Princess.

We will update the post Tuesday. For those interested in seeing more detail about what Kate wore, visit our sister site by clicking here.
Am I seeing that correctly that charlotte’s snow suit has little booties attached to the feet? It’s interesting that she has pink boots on over top of the snowsuit booties.
According to John Lewis “sizes 9-12 months and above do not have enclosed feet, to allow children to wear boots,” so I’m guessing Charlotte’s must be in that size range….? 🙂
George’s hat is from Next (not current season)
Thanks so much for the tip Amy! Do you know of any way I could locate a photo of it? 🙂
There is currently one for sale on eBay

You are wonderful to share the link Amy, thank you!! I will add it to the post asap! 🙂
These are such wonderful photographs and both tines look so alert and intelligent for their young years! I’m seriously impressed that even tinies can boast complete ski outfits, and even more so at the speed-of-light ID’s. I guess we’re dressing for the weather here rather than for style but both George and Charlotte manage to be very well turned out.
I’m intrigued that Johnston’s of Elgin have finally got a mention in the WKKW roll of honour though I have a sneaky query forming in my mind as to whether this was another tip-off from their Nanny who has shown an eye for delicious outfits for very young ladies. Both their hats are delightful and I love the Fair Isle pattern on Charlotte’s bonnet. But then I have similar on wool mittens from the same company! The pink suits her very well as do the darker red and blue shades George is wearing.
Such a delightful post. Thank you.
Loooooooooooove the post!
Love the children and how they are looking towards the camera. They are naturals!
Great photoshoot!
Thanks for the hard work and the tight shots!
How do you get them? Do you do close-ups or do you receive them already as a close-up (feel free to avoid answering if it’s too much information to give, maybe it’s a mystery? :D)
Some come as closeups, but in other instances I edit the larger image to get a tighter shot, it can vary wildly by events and photographer. Thanks for commenting Alejandra. 🙂
Wow! You must have an excellent image editor to crop and still get a perfect quality in the photos!
Awesome job!
