We are back with a special treat: four new photos of George and Charlotte, all of them taken by Kate!
Kensington Palace released the pictures this evening, in time to make the Sunday papers. This is the first one shared by KP, we’ll update the post as the others are released.

George looks every bit the older brother as he gives his sister a kiss.
The third of Kate’s four photographs.
Now to what they’re wearing. Princess Charlotte wears another ensemble by Irulea. We begin with the sweater/jumper worn by the Princess. It appears to be this piece by Irulea.
The hand-knit sweater is the third piece in the set purchased for the Cambridges by Nanny Maria Borrallo’s mother. You’ll remember Charlotte left St. Mary’s hospital wearing a little cap or hat made by the company; it was later revealed the hat was actually part of a set that was a gift for Kate and William.
You can just see the little ‘chemise’ in the lower left corner in the four-shot below; after looking at high-resolution photos, I believe Charlotte could be wearing this item beneath her sweater. Here is the entire set that was purchased for Charlotte.
All of the pieces are made by hand. The cost for the set is €233, about $260, or £170. If purchasing pieces individually set Irulea has posted for the items:
- The sweater is €85 (about $97)
- The booties are €35 (about $40)
- The chemise, or dress, is €58 (roughly $65)
- The little hat is €55 (about $63)
Not shown in the set, what Charlotte is wearing on the bottom. I *think* it could be a pair of Irulea’s knitted bottoms with feet, done in the ivory color and a lighter weight.
Irulea really offers some exquisite pieces, two more that are fairly formal.
And some that are not so formal.
Many readers recognized George’s outfit, he first wore it when going to meet his new baby sister at the Lindo Wing. The third in line to the throne was in Rachel Riley’s “Cord Short and Shirt Set.”
The set features “baby cord turn-up shorts” in a fine wale corduroy.
And a ‘classic white shirt with piping detail.’ Below, a closer look at the pieces.
Both pieces are 100% cotton and they are machine washable. The set sells for $159 and it appears to be in stock as of this writing. (We all know how quickly that can change!)
George’s jaunty cardigan sweater is from Amaia Kids. It doesn’t seem to be back in stock yet, but the company says they have re-ordered more sweaters in this style and color.
The young royal was also wearing knit cotton socks from Amaia Kids in the ‘Blue France’ color, and his Start-Rite ‘Jo’ navy leather buckle shoes.

One FYI, the socks are manufactured by Condor, and they are available at some other retailers. Our thanks to Stacey for commenting on a previous post and letting us know about this!
On a side note, Kensington Palace also posted photos on the KP Instagram page showing some of the cards and letters sent to William and Kate, congratulating them after Charlotte was born.
Another Instagram photo from the Palace.
We leave you with a final photo from Kate, sharing her two children looking very, very sweet.
The Sunday papers are using the photos effectively. Below, The Sunday Express.

I wish the kids had clothing items that we have not already seen (or know about!) sigghhh…. hopefully next time!
The photos are well-lit and nicely staged. I love the one of George and Charlotte looking up at their mother. Remarkable that Charlotte already knows her at such a young age.
One thought: we have yet to see George looking really happy, except for perhaps a few photos from down under.
The neckline of the little “chemise” is quite visible around Charlotte’s neck.
It is visible and it does appear to be the one in the Irulea photograph. I wish we could see the flounce on the sleeve.
